Decadent Chocolate Sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons cacao/cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons rice malt syrup
  • 1 tablespoon boiling water
  1. Mix the cacao and RMS together until a paste starts to form and the cacao comes away from the sides of the bowl.
  2. Add the boiling water and mix until everything is dissolved.
  3. Pour over pancakes, drizzle over ice cream or use as a dip for fruit.

Hidden Veggies Pasta Sauce-WEB

Let’s face it, even our kids who normally have no qualms eating their vegetables sometimes go through phases of saying NO!
That’s when mummy needs to put her sneaky hat on and in this hidden veggies sauce, I’ve done just that.

This is my Hidden Veggies Pasta Sauce. Gobbled up every time!

You will find 6 hidden veggies inside and it is very simple to make.

We use this sauce not only for pasta but as a base for vegetable lasagne and some soups too. It is full of flavour, healthy and a great way to incorporate more vegetables into our diets.

Hidden Veggies Pasta Sauce
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 2 carrots
  • 150g mushrooms
  • 150g broccoli
  • 800g tomato
  • 1 tbs mixed dried Italian herbs
  • 4 bay leaves *Optional
  • 2 tsp Massel Beef style stock
  1. Pulse all veggies individually in a food processor/Thermomix until chopped finely.
  2. Melt coconut oil in a pot on medium heat and saute onion for 3 minutes. Add garlic and continue to saute for 1 minute.
  3. Add the carrots and mushrooms and saute for 3 minutes.
  4. Add the broccoli and herbs and saute for 2 minutes.
  5. Add tomatoes and stock powder and stir to combine and allow to come to the boil then simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove bay leaves before serving if using.
